Some rewards in World of Warcraft are cumbersome to obtain. Fans have a good idea of how to fix this – it would be so easy.
Collecting transmog templates is considered by many to be the “true endgame” of World of Warcraft. Especially the tier sets are quite popular since they create a visually coherent set for each class. However, the multitude of different difficulties makes collecting all sets quite cumbersome. It doesn’t have to be that way, thinks the community.
What is the problem? In fact, collecting transmog rewards is one of the core activities for many players in the endgame. Following the motto: Item level fades, transmog remains.
However, especially regarding the tier sets, collecting is often very cumbersome. Every set now exists in 4 different colorations (LFR, Normal, Heroic and Mythic) and those who want to complete the sets must visit all raids at the corresponding difficulties to obtain all templates for transmogification.
This often leads to frustrating incidents: Some extremely well-equipped players enter LFR to obtain the final templates and roll those items for characters that could actually benefit from them.
This causes frustration on both sides. On one hand, players are angry when items are rolled away from them by someone who doesn’t actively need them, and on the other hand, the players participating in LFR or Normal raids are often far below their usual gameplay level.
The community has a simple solution – but doubts it will ever come
How can this be fixed? A solution to the problem comes from the community and was shared in the WoW subreddit. The proposal from Frog-Eater states: “When you receive a transmog set item from the raid, it should unlock all templates from the easier difficulties.”
For example: If you get the tier set shoulders on “Heroic,” the template for “Normal” and “LFR” should also be unlocked.
The comments on the proposal are extremely positive, the thread has received over 2,000 upvotes. Some of the comments are:
- “That’s a far too logical proposal. That will never happen.” – Waffle_Sama
- “That would speed up your gameplay and mean less content, which would mean fewer active users for Blizzard. Evil, evil.” – GeneralGoti
- “Even Blizzard knows that the endgame is actually transmog. They want to milk as much time as possible from you to collect a set, so that won’t happen.” – thrillho_
In recent years, Blizzard has listened more to feedback from the community and implemented many requests for changes. If there is an improvement here, we will probably see it at the earliest in the next expansion Midnight. But that one isn’t too far away …
