This week was relatively quiet in the MMORPGs. However, we show you all the known news of the week and what the big titles had to offer the fans throughout the week.
The highlights of the week:
- In Lost Ark, the big August update has finally been released. We have summarized all the information for you.
- Patch 6.2 has been released in Final Fantasy XIV, and while some players are just warming up to the island paradise, other fans are already through all the content and want more.
- On August 23, the Steam release of Guild Wars 2 took place. We looked at whether the fire of the MMORPG has been ignited because of this.
- Additionally, a new dungeon has been released in ESO. Our MMORPG author Mark Sellner had to be careful not to lose his soul in the “Lost Depths”.
The uproar of the week: In WoW, the auction house had issues, and many players lost their hard-earned gold because of it. One fan even goes as far as to claim that the economy of the MMORPG will take weeks to stabilize again.
The discussion of the week: Our MeinMMO author Cortyn took a closer look at the moods of the various races and found that Night Elves are the biggest crybabies in all of WoW.

The release of a long-awaited feature in New World
This is what happened with the big MMORPGs:
- In WoW: Dragonflight, the Demon Hunters will soon jump around and fly even more than they already do, just to deal more damage.
- Lost Ark has finally activated its Power Passes again, but they come with new restrictions.
- The anime MMORPG Tower of Fantasy received some new leaks regarding a cyberpunk city and a new character.
This is what happened with the small MMORPGs:
- New World is finally getting a long-awaited feature that many fans wished for after a disappointing last-minute cancellation.
- RuneSpace was supposed to get a new feature called “Fresh Start Worlds”, but the developers delayed the release to September 26 to take into account player feedback (via.massivelyop.com)
- Requiem Online received its reboot, but this caused game crashes and confusion among many players due to many changes they are not used to (via. massivelyop.com)

What happened with the MMORPGs in development?
- The upcoming sandbox MMORPG Fractured Online is hosting a free weekend starting on September 2, where fans can participate (via. mmorpg.com).
- The Cycle is starting its second season with a new battle pass, a new map (via massivelyop.com).
- Fractured Veil adds a new server system and a new mechanic that benefits you just before your demise, making it easier for you to get back on your feet. (via. massivelyop.com)
