Destiny 2 offers a lot of variety with different activities, but one you should avoid from now on: Gambit. The PvEvP hybrid is currently being terrorized by a broken weapon, making the mode a gameplay nightmare.
Which weapon is meant? It is the hand cannon “Eriana’s Vow“. This little brute has the highest range and impact in the game when it comes to hand cannons. So comparing Eriana’s hand cannon to other weapons, it would be a sniper in a handy format.
The Guardians have now discovered that this hand cannon sends every player in Gambit to the beyond with one shot. The hit seems to be irrelevant, as every shot that hits the body kills your opponent immediately. This leads to frustrated players who are no longer interested in the excitable vagabond.
Every escape is hopeless
What do the players say about it? On Reddit, players are calling on Bungie to finally disable this weapon. It not only breaks the mode but also seems not to function as intended. Here we have found a video for you for illustration:
Guardians are talking here about a glitch or bug that players intentionally exploit to annoy other Guardians and gain an unfair advantage. Players also do not understand why Bungie has not immediately disabled the gun like other known troublemakers. Here’s a Reddit user:
Telesto was disabled the moment it broke Gambit, but Eriana’s has been plaguing it without problems for over a week. How… why Bungie???? If this were the Crucible, they would have disabled the weapon in the first hour as soon as people found out about the bug. Now Bungie wants people to play more Gambit after the changes, but they refuse to disable Eriana’s???

Can the weapon be countered? Unfortunately not. Unless you are a Titan in your Bubble or a Warlock in the Well. The only option to counter the weapon is to either flee and hide or avoid Gambit.
Has Bungie made a statement? Not yet, but looking at social networks and forums, Bungie must have definitely caught wind of it. Whether they are already working on a patch for it is still unknown, but not impossible.
What do you think about the unplayable Gambit mode? Have you used it to terrorize opponents or has it passed you by? Let us know what you think!
