In Fortnite, superpowers are running wild. One of them is turning out to be particularly dangerous: The Storm Beast is not to be trifled with.
What’s happening in Fortnite? The current season in Fortnite is all about superheroes. It focuses entirely on the superhero theme. Since the beginning of the season, various superhero weapons have been available. Such as:
- Gloves that unleash a swarm of ravens on your opponents
- The Bass-Boost Gloves, which push your enemies away with sound waves, demolish buildings, and catapult you into the air
- Killswitch Revolvers, which slow down time
- Or the Tracking Scope, which reveals the positions of your foes
As is customary in Fortnite, more items are added through updates to expand the loot pool. And that’s exactly what just happened: “Storm Beast Pushel” is now available in Fortnite, sending players into a frenzy.
What are Storm Beast Pushel? Anyone who uses the Pushel transforms into the Storm Beast. This monster is not only cursedly fast, but also comes with a few nasty attacks.
On one hand, it can shred its opponents with its claws if it gets a hold of them. That’s quite dangerous when you want to get close.
On the other hand, it possesses a jumping ability that allows it to propel itself upwards and then come crashing down to unleash an electric attack on the ground.
Finally, it has a lot of health points – and you have multiple opportunities per Pushel to transform into the monster.
In short: Whoever has the Pushel on hand is much closer to victory. Those facing the monster should quickly figure out how to defeat it – or at least how to escape.
Players puzzled over the best strategy against the Storm Beast
In the Fortnite subreddit, many posts are currently revolving around the Storm Beast and its powerful abilities. Some call it OP
, and even the term miniboss
is mentioned here and there. Particularly the sudden transformation into a monster with a lot of health points frustrates some players. Just imagine being in the last 1 vs. 1 of a match, having your opponent on the brink of defeat – and then they transform into a monster that has three times the health you do.
Additionally, its damage output is considered quite high. Therefore, some players describe the situations where they simply fell victim to the Storm Beast. They are wondering how to beat this monster.
How to defeat the Storm Beast? As of now, the key point is to not get too close. Because in close combat, it will likely defeat you in most cases. Distance is the question. For example, use the Fog Form Cloak to get away.
Other options include using vehicles or zip lines to evade the monster. Especially the latter can be a real game changer against the Storm Beast: Use a zip line to go up and try to stay in the middle. There, the beast cannot reach you.
And the Bass-Boost Gloves as well as the Fog Gloves are also good options to deal damage to the monster or at least send it flying into the storm.
