In the world of Dragon Ball Z there is a fascinating villain named Cell who undergoes various forms to increase his power. Although three of his forms are known, there exists a fourth form that was never shown in the series.
Who is it about? This is about the villain Cell. Originally, only one form was planned for him, but due to his appearance, he eventually received multiple forms. In the series, we already know three of his forms:
- The imperfect Cell
- The semi-perfect Cell
- The perfect Cell
He undergoes his forms similarly to an insect in several stages by absorbing other beings. He was artificially created from cells, including those of Son-Goku, Vegeta, Piccolo, and Freezer.
Cell’s perfect form is powerful, but perhaps not perfect
Which form of Cell are we talking about? In the original manga, Cell also has the aforementioned three forms. To reach his perfect form, he must absorb the cyborgs C-17 and C-18, which he eventually succeeds in doing.
After achieving his goal, Cell organizes a tournament to demonstrate his power to the world. Originally, the manga artist Akira Toriyama, who unfortunately has passed away, also planned a fourth form for Cell.
A drawing has surfaced in the archives of the Shueisha publishing house showing a fourth form of Cell. This resembles either an intermediate form between the second and the perfect form or represents a further development after the perfect form. However, the exact nature of this form is unknown. It never made it into the manga either.
Why didn’t the form make it into the series? The exact reason why the fourth form didn’t make it into the series is unknown. However, it is known that the publisher Yu Kondo opposed the introduction of the fourth form in the manga. For this reason, the fourth form was never shown in the anime.
Since it is unclear which form it specifically is, it is correspondingly difficult to assess whether the fourth form is more powerful than Cell’s perfect form. The uncertainty about this is amplified by the lack of information, especially since the timing of the fourth form’s appearance is not known.
