In the universe of Digimon, there are many powerful creatures that look quite harmless. One of the most interesting is introduced in the 4th season of Digimon. Actually, the villain of the series was supposed to be the savior of the Digi-world, but arrogance corrupted it.
Which Digimon is it about? In Digimon Frontiers, the 4th season of the anime, the well-known structure is somewhat altered. Instead of partner Digimon, 5 chosen children from the real world must use the souls of the legendary warriors to transform themselves into powerful Digimon.
At first, it appears that Cherubimon, one of the 3 Holy Digimon Angels, is the main villain of the series, but as it turns out, it was only manipulated by Lucemon. Although Lucemon looks like a harmless angel in child form, it can be one of the meanest and most powerful beings in the Digi-world.
A small child with enormous power
What kind of Digimon is Lucemon? It actually appears in the form of a small angel. Although it is just a rookie Digimon, a low level, it can easily fight against the strongest Digimon.
Even though it looks so innocent, this angel Digimon is cruel. It also has no problem sacrificing allies.
When the Digi-world was still full of chaos and war, Lucemon brought peace and harmony. But this led to an arrogance that corrupted it. It began to believe that everything would be better if it could just govern itself. The 10 legendary Digiknights fought against Lucemon and banished it.
Afterward, the 3 Holy Digimon Angels brought peace, but Cherubimon was slowly corrupted from behind by Lucemon. Cherubimon and later the royal knights began to collect data in the Digi-world to strengthen the fallen angel.
Although the chosen children try to stop Lucemon, the Digimon absorbed all the data of the Digi-world and, with the new power, escaped from its prison. The children fight bravely against Lucemon, but it still has some aces up its sleeve.
It can become more powerful and evil
After the royal knights were defeated, Lucemon absorbed their data and transformed into Chaos Mode. Here it looks like an adult fallen angel with white and black wings and belongs to the Seven Demon Kings.
Instead of its innocent angelic existence, it uses the power of light and darkness in Chaos Mode. Although Takuya and Koji manage to defeat Chaos Mode as Susanoomon, they only remove the good side of the Digimon.
Filled with malice, Lucemon transforms into a monster that looks like a dragon carrying a large black sphere. This is the Shadowlord Mode. This sphere contains a larva of the Digimon, and it tries to enter the human world.
Even here, Susanoomon manages to defeat Lucemon. It reappears as a larva, but the Digi-knights take care of it forever.
As the name and story of Lucemon already suggest, it is clearly inspired by Lucifer. Lucifer was once an angel whose ambition became so great that he rebelled against God.
