Another glitch in Battlefield 2042 led a player into a secret room. There, he saw mysterious things that raise questions about the game’s development process. You can read more about this in our article:
Player accidentally flies into a secret room in Battlefield 2042, finds mysterious sign
This clip starts with a hovercraft sticking to the wall, but then surprises in double fashion:
Just before the rooftop of the skyscraper, the driver turns the hovercraft horizontally, drives towards the side of the building – and takes off.
What follows initially seems like a substitute for Sundance’s wingsuit, but then proves to be something deadlier. The player skillfully and precisely controls the flying hovercraft over a surprisingly long distance directly towards a helicopter.
The helicopter explodes, killing all occupants. Meanwhile, the hovercraft not only takes no damage, the collision doesn’t even interrupt the vehicle’s repair. Thus, the hovercraft is the better – albeit significantly impractical – rocket.
What do fans say about these bugs? Whether and when these bugs will be fixed in a patch is unclear. However, fans hope that DICE will leave this bug in the game:
- That’s one of those glitches that should stay in the game because they are so funny. (HExLHF on reddit)
- “Don’t fix that, make it a feature” (florentinomain00f on reddit)
- “They better not patch that…” (EPICBOSS84 on reddit)
What do you think of the hovercrafts in the game? Do you find them too strong, or do you enjoy them? And what are your thoughts on these bugs? Let us know in the comments.

The Battlefield games have always been associated with vehicles. This also applies to Battlefield 2042 – but not in the way you think. An unspectacular vehicle currently overshadows tanks, attack helicopters, and military jets. MeinMMO tells you why hovercrafts are even too good for gravity.
The LCAA hovercraft is one of 14 vehicles at the launch of Battlefield 2042. Alongside the selection of tanks, attack helicopters, and jets, this amphibious vehicle seems almost insignificant.
But you shouldn’t underestimate the hovercraft, even if it looks like a Jeep in a life ring with a propeller on its back. Because the hovercraft is a dominant force on the servers. And not just in the way the developers intended.
Even in the first days of Early Access, the hovercraft proved to be a tremendous threat. It has many strengths and very few weaknesses. And this is true in both the most conventional and the most unimaginable situations in the game.

Hovercrafts have many strengths, few weaknesses
What are the strengths of the hovercraft? The hovercraft has many strengths, especially in mobility. That’s why some players say that the hovercraft is the “strongest vehicle in the game” (Szozoo via reddit).
The game describes the LCAA hovercraft as a vehicle suitable for “soldier extermination.” The hovercraft indeed possesses a lot of firepower. Up to 4 people can sit in a hovercraft. Besides the driver, there are also 3 weapon stations:
- One passenger has standard access to a strong and precise minigun. With hovercraft kills, you can unlock a grenade or rocket launcher for this position. These can replace the minigun.
- On the 2 sides of the vehicle, up to 2 other passengers have access to a light machine gun each.
The speed and width of the hovercraft are well-suited for running over enemies. Especially at control points that are open and spacious, a hovercraft can mow down many enemies at once. Also in places like the sand dunes on the map Hourglass, where snipers often lie in wait, a hovercraft can rack up many kills.
The high speed is also a major strength for other reasons:
- A coordinated squad can quickly move from one control point to the next. This can prevent or delay a capture.
- The maneuverability and speed of the hovercraft make it hard for enemies to land their hits on the vehicle.
- If you do get hit, you can quickly get to safety and repair the vehicle.
What are the weaknesses of the hovercraft? The hovercraft has not only few weaknesses – the few existing weaknesses are not as pronounced as one might think.
While the hovercraft is far from being as robust as tanks, they can still endure a lot. It takes 2-3 hits from a rocket launcher or tank to completely destroy an intact hovercraft. This is not only surprisingly much – at the high speed of the hovercraft, it is hard to land those hits with the slow rockets at all.
Although the hovercraft looks like half a rubber dinghy, it also takes no damage from regular bullets – even if you fire at the rubber part.
Bizarre physics creates quirky moments
As if the hovercraft weren’t strong enough with the intended gameplay, players quickly discovered bizarre bugs affecting the vehicle. Hovercrafts can completely ignore the laws of gravity. They give the term “All-Terrain Vehicle” a whole new meaning.
Hovercrafts climb walls like Spider-Man: On the very first day of Early Access, a fan discovered on reddit that hovercrafts can stick to walls like Spider-Man. This way, they can ascend even the tallest buildings in the game in surprisingly quirky ways.
This trick is easily replicable and can be applied in various ways on many objects. Not only is this bizarre, but also effective: You can surprise camping snipers on a roof. With the firepower of the hovercraft, the vehicle’s soldier extermination can be almost demonstrated without risk.
Hovercrafts fly through the air like rockets: Not only do walls seem to be no problem for hovercrafts. Also on reddit, user Sir_Shiny posted a clip of him flying through the air with the hovercraft.
