In Pokémon GO, candies are very important for your monsters. A trainer shows what record-breaking number he has received in a single throw.
Candies are one of the most important currencies in Pokémon GO. You need them to level up Pokémon, evolve them, teach them a second charge attack, or to level up their Dyna Attacks. Therefore, they are highly sought after by many trainers.
A player posted an image on Reddit showing the amount of candies he received for a single throw. The amount is quite impressive.
Cleverly combined, received a lot
How many candies did he receive? As shown in his image on Reddit, he received a total of 95 candies with a single throw. If you catch a Pokémon regularly and without bonuses, you normally receive 3 candies for that. So he received more than 31 times the normal amount of candies for such a catch.
What kind of monster did he catch? The Pokémon from which he was able to snag this large amount of candies is Blaziken. This is the final evolution of Torchic, the fire starter from Generation 3. Blaziken has the types Fire and Fighting.

How did the trainer do it? As the trainer reports, he cleverly combined different bonuses to receive this amount of candies. Since Blaziken is the final evolution of a Pokémon line, there are generally 20 candies for the catch.
For that, he used a Silver Pinap Berry to further increase the amount. At the same time, he benefited from 2 events that were active simultaneously, both giving an additional bonus on catch candies. The events were the Harvest Festival, which runs until October 16, 2025, and Community Day.
The last bonus he received was due to an active Mega Evolution of level 3, which further increased the amount of candies.
Have you ever received such a number of candies from a single throw? Feel free to let us know in the comments. The current month offers you, in addition to the Harvest Festival and Community Day, several other events and content. You can find out what they are in our overview with all events in October 2025 in Pokémon GO.
