Darth Maul is a memorable villain from the movies and series of Star Wars. But some fans still wonder how he could survive his supposed death in Episode 1.

The Hate of the Sith

Some time later, the Sith and Obi-Wan faced each other again: Darth Maul killed Duchess Satine Kryze from the planet Mandalore in the presence of the Jedi. This was a major defeat for Obi-Wan and was enough for Maul as revenge. The consequence of this was that Darth Sidious sought out Maul and stripped him of power. He also killed his brother Savage.
