The Belters themselves live on asteroids, dwarf planets, and space stations. However, life in space poses different demands on the human body, leading to health issues and physical changes among those living there due to the extraordinary pressures.
Over time, a rebel group forms among the Belters, pursuing its own, independent goals from Earth and Mars, at times resorting to drastic measures.
