The most expensive mount available in World of Warcraft – for an absolute bargain price. Such luck had a player who is now thrilled.
Rare and expensive mounts are abundant in World of Warcraft. Just a few days ago, we published a list of the most expensive mounts that you can buy for gold. But sometimes, you can also get lucky and snag a mount for significantly less than its intended value. Just like the player who proudly shows in the WoW Subreddit that he “won the lottery” – as he paid just over 3% of the actual price.
What happened? Reddit user GhostCorp973 shows a screenshot where he has just opened a “Left Behind Black Market Post”. He had previously purchased it for 330,000 gold coins – a common price for this box.
The proud result: The mighty Caravan Brutosaurus!
If this mount is offered in the regular Black Market Auction House, it fetches a significantly higher price – usually 9,999,999 gold coins. That is the highest bid you can make in the game, known as “gold cap”.
This means he paid only 3.3% of the price that the Brutosaurus would otherwise cost.
What kind of mount is this? The “mighty Caravan Brutosaurus” is not only the most expensive ground mount in the game (for gold), but also one of the most useful. Because on this mount, you have permanent access to an auction house and can sell or buy found items at any time. This eliminates the often “annoying” trip back to the capital city for some.
In raids, the Brutosaurus is also very popular, especially when you want to buy potions, flasks, and runes without the entire raid having to wait for you to rush back to the capital.
Besides that, the Brutosaurus always catches the eye, especially due to its size. The model is (so far) also unique – no other mount uses this appearance.
What are the odds? The chance of pulling the “Reins of the Mighty Caravan Brutosaurus” from a “Left Behind Black Market Post” is quite low. After all, there can be around 200 different items in that container, including real duds – such as rings from raids that no longer exist in the game. Since these rings don’t even have a visual effect, you can only sell them to the vendor – for a few gold coins.
Have you ever tried your luck at the Black Market in World of Warcraft and bought such a container? Or do you lack the necessary spare change and the tendency towards “loot boxes”, where you could end up with a dud? You can more easily get cool mounts at the current pre-event: Radiant Echoes.
