A player in No Man’s Sky wants his old ship back and is asking the community for help on Reddit. In return, he offers up to 270 million Units for the player who finds the exact ship he is looking for.
The player Avaslash does not want to accept the loss of his old ship. He has played with the ship from day one. Since many eyes are better than just one, he is asking the community to keep an eye out for a spaceship that must have a very specific design.
The ship should look something like this according to Avaslash:
“I want it back”
Where has his old ship gone? The latest patch of NMS “Next” brought many changes. Often players logged into planets after the update that looked different and had different lifeforms than those they were on before logging out.
And this also applied to Avaslash’s spaceship. After the update, it suddenly looked different and the player was not exactly happy about it.
“I want [the old ship] back and am actively looking for something that looks exactly like it,” he writes on Reddit. “But I can only travel a limited amount of stars each day. If more people keep an eye out for it, then the chances of finding it increase.”
Avaslash also stated that he has already contacted support, apparently without success.
How can one “find” the ship? The appearance and configurations of ships in No Man’s Sky are randomly generated, so luck plays a big role in this task. These ships belong to NPC pilots and can be bought from them for the necessary cash.
The spaceship hunters must therefore visit different systems and see if there are ships that meet Avaslash’s wishes. If so, they can contact Avaslash on Reddit to discuss the next steps.
Details are important
Avaslash places a lot of importance on the details of the ship he is searching for:
- Hull configuration is Patagon-S
- Cockpit is Katuo-S
- Wing configuration Y-Tern, D-Flect, or Tern, with D-Flect being the best option.
- Rear fin: All except Alula. RTX-IBIS would be optimal.
- No special cargo configuration
- Booster configuration does not matter
He also wants very specific colors:
- Lower color must be black, dark gray, or dark blue
- Upper color must be white, with white wings and armor.
- The ship must have yellow stickers.
- Other stickers in a different color are not acceptable.
The money does not matter
270 million bucks is a decent sum in No Man’s Sky. When asked why Avaslash is willing to spend so much money for a “so simple ship”, he replied, “Why not?” He has so much money in the game that he doesn’t know what to do with it.
Since you cannot directly hand over the units in NMS, Avaslash will give valuable items to the finder, such as fuel for freighters.
After the find, the exchange will proceed as follows:
- The finder receives 25 million in advance for providing the coordinates of the system where the ship was found.
- Another 175 million will be given if the ship meets the conditions
- However, if the ship looks exactly like before, an additional 20 million bonus will be added
- And if the finder locates and reports the ship within 2 weeks, he will receive an additional 50 million on top.
However, Avaslash is also a PC player. And since PC and PS4 players cannot encounter each other in No Man’s Sky, he will also not be able to pay the promised amount in that case. Instead, a Steam gift card would be offered to the PS4 player.
