In Fortnite, there are many means of transportation that get you from A to B. Now a player shows you in his clip why sharks on a leash should definitely not venture to the Cube Town.
What happened? In Fortnite, a player zoomed around the map in his vehicle. However, he didn’t take a regular car or truck, but a shark. You can use these as a means of transportation since Season 3.
While traversing rural areas, the player found himself in the new POI – the “Cube Town”. Unbeknownst to him, he was abruptly separated from his vehicle and thrown into the air.
Sharks become mobile catapults for players
The reddit user long_socks2406 posted a video in which he was catapulted through the Cube Town on his shark during his journey.
He only utilized his shark, which was on his leash. He rode through the town and reached the purple lake that stretched across the new POI. Out of nowhere, the water catapulted the player into the air upon contact, separating him from his vehicle.
How can I recreate this? You need three things:
- A shark
- A fishing rod
- The purple lake in the Cube Town
If you have found a lake or river containing a shark, pull out your fishing rod.
Position yourself near it, but not so close that it can focus on you. Then aim the fishing rod and cast the hook. It needs to be within immediate sight of the shark, otherwise it won’t spot it.
If the shark catches the bait, your line gets tangled in its fin, and you can take a ride with it.
Now you just need to head to the Cube Town and jump into the viscous lake. According to the video, this jump does not seem intentional and may be a bug.
Try it out while it’s still there: Chapter 2 is approaching its end soon. On December 4th, the live event will start to bring about another major reset. Epic is retiring the old map and making room for a new one.
Since Patch 18.40 is supposed to be the last of this season, you have time until the live event to capture photos and cool moments from Chapter 2 before everything gets sucked into a black hole again. So make sure to use your time to collect awesome moments.
