In Pokémon TCG Pocket a limit has been introduced on how much real money can be spent daily. A Japanese player has now pushed the boundaries of this limit since its release, having spent over €12,000 and is showing how many cards he has received in total for it.
What is this limit? In Pokémon TCG Pocket, real money can be used to acquire the in-game currency PokéGold. With it, players can shorten the waiting process for the next booster pack or miracle choice.
However, to prevent players from going on a spending spree, the app has implemented a cap: A maximum of 720 PokéGold can be spent each day, nothing more.
We explain in the video what the missing card from the Promo A deck is about:

How much money has the player spent? The YouTuber Hajimesyacho from Japan has made it his goal to spend the maximum amount of PokéGold every day since the release.
720 PokéGold corresponds to approximately €143.96. Since the release on October 30, 2024, there have been 82 days up to January 19, 2025, totaling €11,804.72.
How many cards does the player have now? On X, formerly Twitter, the player has now shared his haul: he has gained over 50,000 cards in total.
For comparison: A non-paying player would need to have around 2,000 cards.
Is it worth it? Unfortunately, the YouTuber did not mention whether these investments were actually worth it.
The user sleepyboylol posted on reddit about this topic. He spent 720 PokéGold in one day and states himself that he pulled almost nothing:
Just because one invests a lot of real money in Pokémon TCG Pocket does not mean that there is a guarantee of better or rarer cards.
