Becoming wealthy is not only a goal for some people in the real world. Players in Palworld also strive for wealth. One player has found a way to accumulate a lot of gold. The catch: it takes a long time. Since the release, he has been doing this continuously.
How did the player get rich? There are various methods to obtain gold in Palworld. A user analyzed for 120 hours which items bring the most money. This approach was not followed by the player named Bungeon_Dungeon.
He also wanted to earn a lot of gold in Palworld, and he did. However, his method is not particularly time-efficient.
Bungeon_Dungeon became rich by selling honey. In his Reddit post, the player showed that he sold 45,053 jars of honey. This amounts to an impressive total of 1,126,325 gold.

Once you have built the farm and recruited the right Pals, such as Beegarde or Elizabee, the rest is literally a piece of cake. You can basically sit back and watch the honey being produced.
The player’s plan worked. He became rich. But there is a catch.
The required time even worries the player
What is the catch? The time required for it. According to Bungeon_Dungeon, Palworld has been running for him nearly continuously since its release.
For reminder: Palworld was released on January 19, 2024, which is 40 days ago. This results in a playtime of about 900 hours (as of February 25, the time of the Reddit post).
So that’s quite a number. The player himself states: “I have had the game running almost since the start – I’m almost afraid to look at the hours I’ve played.”
What does the community think? Of course, numerous comments gather under the Reddit post expressing their opinions on the player’s lengthy method.
It is mainly about whether the time is worth it.

- “That’s about 25 gold per honey. It’s not worth it,” says ccjohns2.
- The user tioeduardo27 refers to the method of selling nails for a lot of money: “Sell nails and buy ammunition. I literally have a billion gold and I’ve played for about 20 hours.”
- “They make the honey, we make the money,” a comment from flfoiuij2 that sounds even better in the original English version: “They make the honey, we make the money.”
It remains a matter of taste whether one wants to invest so much time in a single game for the sake of money. Especially when there are apparently better, time-saving methods.
