A player has completed Crimson Desert and explains what really challenged him and what to look out for if you try to do the same.
How long did it take him? Player TioZer0 spoke up on Reddit and shared a screenshot confirming that he completed Crimson Desert on the PS5, which means he earned the platinum trophy.
But the journey wasn’t easy. The player invested a total of 305 hours into the open-world adventure over the last 2.5 weeks since its release on March 19, 2026. That averages about 17 hours of Crimson Desert per day, assuming the player did not gain early access to a press version.

Insects and Fish as Bosses
What took a lot of time? Although Crimson Desert presents players with some challenging enemies and puzzles, something else was the ultimate challenge. To complete the game 100%, the collection had to be completed.
Here not only all large animals are recorded, but also the smallest residents of Pywel, such as insects and fish. Accordingly, the player had to catch every insect and fish for his 100% completion.
This was a significant challenge, as the player revealed on Reddit, costing him reportedly 60 gameplay hours. So those who skip this step can complete Crimson Desert in about 245 hours without collection.
