The Polish player Kalm Uhacz was the best player on the Damora server with level 1,746 in Tibia Online and was among the top 1,520 overall in the MMORPG. But suddenly, his character died in seconds. A few days later, the player explained that he had trusted the wrong online friend.
What happened to the character? On September 29 at 3:40 AM, Kalm Uhacz’s best character was still at level 1,746. But then it happened. He repeatedly died from fire damage multiple times a minute.
With each death, the character lost experience points and thus also levels. After the first death, he already fell to level 1,743, then to 1,731, and so on. By 4:30 AM, so about an hour later, he was only at level 803. You can’t even make it into the top 1,000 with that.
At first, many assumed a hack, but it turned out differently.
How did the sabotage happen? The Polish player explained that he had trusted someone who had a good reputation and with whom he had played for a long time. He then entrusted this person with his account details, which the person used to repeatedly make the character die a fiery death.
For me, it is not only a disappointment because I lost a lot of money, but also a disappointment that I trusted such a person. […].
We played together for so long, and it turned out that he was someone completely different than he claimed to be. That’s why I wanted to warn others so they don’t end up in my unpleasant situation.
Kalm Uhacz was, however, lucky in his misfortune, as he noticed the problem in time, was able to recover his account, and even save a large part of the levels – but only because he invested real money.
10 Euro and a good reaction time save the character
How was he able to save the character? Tibia offers a “Death Redemption”. This costs about 10 Euros and ensures that you get back about 56% of the experience points you lost in the last 24 hours.
If he had only noticed it the next day, he would have had to level up a character from level 803. Thanks to his quick reaction, he is now at level 1,638.
That is still enough for the top 300 worldwide, but it is still a significant setback.
What is the max level? In Tibia Online, there is no maximum level. Just in February, we reported that the first player ever reached level 2,000.
In the meantime, the highest characters have reached levels 2,433 and 2,424. By the way, you need a total of 239 billion experience points for this. Kalm Uhacz’s character has “only” 73 billion XP after the attack.
