In Fortnite: Battle Royale, a player was able to gain a significant advantage, and that even from the spawn island. We show you what luck this player experienced.
This was the situation: A player shared a clip on reddit, where by chance he gained a huge advantage at the start of the match.
He was still on the spawn island of Fortnite and wanted to perform his emotes and ride on his mini Deadpool scooter.
By chance, probably because he accidentally marked it, he tagged a llama that was 3,000 meters away on the Fortnite map.
You have to have this much luck!
Why does this chance create an advantage? In each match, 3 loot llamas spawn on the map, which makes it difficult to find them on the large map of Fortnite.
However, if you find a llama, you already have an advantage because you can stock up on materials, ammunition, and items.
The Update 4.3, which was deployed in Season 4, slimmed down the llamas and you now receive less loot than in the earlier seasons.
This player had an advantage right from the start because he had already marked the llama, and he just needs to fly over to collect his loot.
The ping system has its advantages
As you can see in this reddit clip, the ping system is of great benefit. You can mark items and enemies, even if they are far away.
This system was introduced in Season 8, shortly after it was demonstrated by the competitor Apex Legends:
This week you should also mark items as part of the Skye Challenges to unlock the style variant for the Ghost or Shadow teams.
In our guide, you can see how to mark unusual, rare, and epic items.
