The highlights of the week:
- Things are really picking up for Guild Wars 2. As the active players of the MMORPG have nearly tripled, ArenaNet decided to release a comprehensive roadmap. In addition to a Steam release and DirectX 11, a 4th expansion is also on the agenda.
- Lost Ark made waves when Amazon’s franchise lead stated in an interview with VG24/7 that a release for PS5 and Xbox Series X is being considered. He also commented on the constant comparisons to Diablo 3.
- Due to many MMORPGs being unplayable in Russia, Allods Online is bursting at the seams and can increase its player count eightfold.
- The spiritual successor to the well-known Knight Online, Rise Online, announced a release as early as April, but it also relies on cryptocurrencies, among other things.
The controversy of the week: The situation regarding bots in Lost Ark has worsened. Many of them have even reached the endgame and fans said: ‘Every new player will stop immediately.’

What happened with the major MMORPGs:
- Lost Ark released a huge update on March 24, addressing almost all community discussion points. They found an effective way to eliminate bots, introduced new skins to the game, and are giving away upgrade materials. The community celebrates the patch.
- World of Warcraft is also catering to fans, as a hotfix ensures that no one has to go to Torghast if they don’t want to. Instead, you can now buy resources elsewhere. Also, the guild Echo secured another World First Kill after 18 days and 277 attempts.
- In Black Desert Online, the first player reached level 67, after more than two years of grinding for just one level.

- The new MMORPG Warhammer: Odyssey was offline for a week because the entire game’s database was hacked.
