In a new survival game on Steam, the developers of Green Hell send you to a dangerous planet. There, not only the extreme temperatures make life difficult for you.
What kind of game is this? StarRupture is a new game from Creepy Jar, who are already known for their survival title Green Hell. In a new trailer, the developers present the official name of the game, under which it will be released.
Previously, StarRupture was in development under the name “Chimera.” However, the new title is supposed to refer to the central star, which is responsible for the extreme conditions in the created world of the game.
The trailer gives you a small glimpse into the world that has been created for StarRupture:
When will it be released? There is no release date for StarRupture yet. We are still some time away from a full release. Before that, the game will enter Early Access on Steam, which, according to the developers, is set to last at least a year.
On their official YouTube channel, the developers will keep you updated with short devlogs until then.
What can you expect in StarRupture? The trailer doesn’t show you much, as it was only meant to announce the official name of the game. Nevertheless, you get a small glimpse into the world that awaits you in the new co-op game.
A foreign planet is shown, which is repeatedly plagued by disasters. You can take a look at a very modern city set between green meadows and rivers, which shortly thereafter seems to be completely destroyed by the extreme heat of a giant star.
Anyone exposed to this extreme heat had no chance of survival; the plants are burned, and the rivers have also dried up shortly thereafter.
In this setting, the developers promise you some features on a constantly changing planet:
- Explore an open world full of resources, various areas, and secrets
- Extreme temperatures repeatedly change the planet and create new dangers
- You have to manage your resources, create a complex industry system, and with unlockable technologies, you can adapt your base to the harsh conditions
- Fight against hordes of alien creatures
In the survival struggle in StarRupture, you can face it alone in solo mode or together with a group of up to four players.
