Actually, cool skins are meant to just brighten the mood. But a new skin in Apex Legends is causing more problems than joy.
Which skin is causing trouble? The problematic skin is called “Mil-Spec” and belongs to the character Bangalore. Players found out that it causes crashes as soon as one selects Bangalore with the corresponding skin in the character selection screen.
Instead of seeing the full animation of the character, one simply gets kicked out. A user demonstrated what this looks like on reddit:
It has also been confirmed that the bug affects teammates when selecting the skin.
The developers are on the bug
This is what the developers say: On Twitter, Respawn has already responded to the bug and stated that they are working to resolve the issue as quickly as possible.
At the same time, the developers refer to a workaround: it is possible to reload back into the game after the crash and continue playing without issues. A complete solution to the bug is not yet available.
Where does the skin come from? In Apex Legends, the so-called “Gridiron Store” is currently available, where you can purchase various cosmetics for the character Bangalore. This includes the “Mil-Spec Skin.”
The cosmetics are based in part on a new video titled “Stories from the Outlands – Gridiron,” which tells a story about Bangalore. It is a skin that you buy directly and cannot unlock in other ways. Currently, this is not advisable due to the bugs.
Apex Legends is indeed not the only game currently facing skin problems. CoD: Warzone, a battle royale competitor, is also having issues with a costume. This involves the level 100 skin from the current Battle Pass, which somehow leads to the invisibility of some players. You can find out everything about the bug here:
