The action RPG Wolcen: Lords of Mayhem has received a major patch that introduces a change that was truly needed.
This change was brought by the patch: The Siege Breaker build is probably the most effective in the Steam hit Wolcen. As a tank, you have better chances, especially in boss fights.
The Siege Breaker build utilizes a special skill called Curse of Tyranny. This skill previously provided a damage bonus of +50 multiplied by the block chance of your shield. This bonus has now been changed to 0.5.
A much-needed adjustment
Why was this change necessary? The previous skill value meant that players were simply too powerful. It was possible to deal extremely high damage with just one hit, sometimes 1,500 or more additional damage points per hit through the skill. This made it possible to take down tough boss enemies with just a few hits.
What do the players think about it? On Steam, discussions about the new patch are already taking place. These are likely to become even more intense as the update was just recently released.
- Sceles writes: “Finally, they fixed the broken passive skill that gave +50 damage for each point in blocking, allowing one to defeat every enemy with a single hit.”
- Zantetsuken is still frustrated with the state of the game despite the patch: “Even though the developers have fixed these issues, they are not truly resolved. They have only been improved by shifting a decimal point. I can already see that other bugs will not be addressed in time. Many skills are completely broken and do not work at all. Unique items have special effects that do not function… Something needs to change radically.”
There was more
This was also changed: Additionally, the skill Safe Parry has been nerfed. It previously granted a bonus of +10% health regeneration per fate point. Now it is only 0.1. This makes it no longer possible to regenerate health very quickly.
What else does the patch bring? It is a very comprehensive update that is 2.8 GB in size. The patch notes can be found on Steam.
Some significant changes include:
- Item duplication in the offline mode chest has been fixed
- Stackable items no longer duplicate
- Tabs in the chest no longer disappear when switching acts
- Items are retained when exiting the game while moving an item in inventory
- You no longer fall off the platform in Act 1 when using the skill War Path in the boss fight against Edric
- Gem values are now correctly considered
What do you think about the nerf of the patch? Do you agree with it, or did you enjoy being overpowered in Wolcen?
