The MMORPG Legend of Ymir will launch in a few days in South Korea. Along with this, the 4 classes for the game’s launch have now been presented.
What kind of game is this? Legend of Ymir is an MMORPG being developed by the South Korean studio WeMade for PC and Mobile. The game aims to shine not only through its setting in Norse mythology but also through its graphics, utilizing Unreal Engine 5.
The release of the South Korean version is set for February 20, 2025. In line with this, the developer has now introduced the 4 classes with which the game will launch.
Typical classes of an MMORPG
What classes are there in the game? The first of the 4 classes that players can start with in the game is the Berserker. He is the classic tank, armed with sword and shield, and is primarily meant to absorb damage and hold aggro.
The second class, the Skald, is a typical support class. With the help of her harp, with which she plays songs and recites poems, she can perform healing and revivals as well as provide her group with buffs.
Völva is the third presented class. This is a mage who is meant to deal damage. She draws on elemental powers such as fire and ice.
The last presented class is the Warlord, who deals damage in close combat. He uses 2 spears, one in each hand. He is also supposed to have a few abilities that allow him to deal damage from a distance.

Is the game only being released in South Korea? In addition to the South Korean version of the game, a global version has also been announced. Originally, the South Korean version was supposed to be released in 2024, and the global version in 2025.
When exactly the global version of the game will be released is not officially known yet.
