This week a new MMORPG launched in Early Access on Steam, which has already postponed its release twice. Abyss Online aims to impress with PvP and sandbox elements.
Which game is this about? Abyss Online is a new MMORPG on Steam, which started Early Access on May 16, 2024. Until then, the game had already taken a long journey. Originally, it was supposed to enter Early Access in April. At that time, it was postponed to May 06 but was also extended after that.

What does Abyss Online promise? According to the developers, Abyss Online is supposed to be an “epic MMORPG” in an open fantasy world full of magic. In the open world, you can expect different biomes, hidden treasures, and ancient mysteries.
The economy of the game world is to be influenced and shaped by the players through trade, decisions, and their needs. Abyss Online also aims to become a large multiplayer experience with cooperative quests, alliances, and PvP battles.
The developers also emphasize the dynamic combat system, which offers you classless combat with many different weapons and magical abilities. There are supposed to be skills from 1 to 100, which only refers to PvE. In PvP, all players are to use the same base.

What about Early Access? At the launch of the Early Access version, there was a post from the developers on the Steam page, in which they addressed a few words to the future players. “Expect chaos in every possible form. The post also reveals some details about the lore of Abyss Online. Among other things, they write about the current state of the world and the Age of the Abyss. “Humanity would not just survive; it would thrive at the memory of the ancient rhythm of life that the old world whispers,” they write, among other things.
