From May 3 to May 9, the focus was mainly on WoW Classic and the new MMORPG Elyon. We at MeinMMO summarize all the important news of the week for you.
The highlights of the week: This week, Elyon launched its first closed beta in the West. And this launch was bumpy:
- On May 6, it was supposed to start at 14:00. However, the first players only got onto the servers at the earliest at 17:00. There were also problems going into May 7.
- The first reactions to the new MMORPG from Korea are mixed. The combat system and character progression are praised, while there is criticism for quests and the overall feeling that Elyon is too “generic”.
Besides Elyon, WoW Classic was in focus. There, it was revealed that the release of Burning Crusade takes place on June 2 at 00:00 for us.
The controversy of the week: This also revolves around WoW Classic. Here, a Deluxe Edition and character copy were introduced. Both cost real money, but the prices are just too high for many.
The discussion of the week: This year, according to the developers, 10 new MMORPGs are expected to be released. We created a survey where you can vote on which one you are most looking forward to: Which new MMORPGs are you most looking forward to in 2021?
