In this year, a new MMORPG called Virtuverse starts. In the game, it is even possible that you earn – or lose – money.
What is Virtuverse? The Free2Play MMORPG Virtuverse for Steam places you in a galaxy full of possibilities. The adventure takes you to the planet Stig, where you are to establish a colony. However, numerous dangers await you, including dangerous creatures or hostile colonists who want to take you down.
On the planet, you also discover the ruins of an ancient alien civilization and it is among your tasks to find out where the aliens are now and why they left the planet.
Virtuverse aims to combine a story with sandbox gameplay. You build houses and entire cities, gather resources, and create items to supply other players. This way, you can become a well-known builder or a powerful businessman.
There are no class restrictions in the game. Every player can use any item. You are free to grab the weapon or armor that is best, without having to worry about whether your character can actually use the equipment.

What is special about the game? Virtuverse supports trading with real money. You are allowed to buy items made by players with real money. Since you can only get to the really good items through trade, it is possible for craftsmen to earn money. The developer of the MMORPG takes a share from each transaction to finance the ongoing development of the game and the servers.
However, you must be careful. In PvP, you can lose your equipment. If you are defeated, fellow players take the items you bought with money from you. Thus, profit and loss are closely related.
In a PvP battle, you might lose everything you have painstakingly saved up. However, PvP battles take place in special arenas and are thus optional. Nevertheless, you always need to consider which of your weapons and armor you take into these arenas.
When does the game start? Virtuverse starts in Q4 2021 as a Free2Play game via Steam. However, you can already register now on the official website (via virtuverse.io) and download an early access version to get a first impression of the game. The early access servers are only open at certain times, which you can find on the MMORPG’s website.
