This week, the new MMORPG Blue Protocol has been released, and yes, you can play it from Germany as well. Additionally, the new games Palia and Scars of Honor have announced tests for the summer. We summarize everything important for you.
The highlights of the week:
- Blue Protocol has launched in Japan and can even be played without a VPN after our tests.
- Palia looks like Animal Crossing as an MMORPG and will start a new test for 200,000 players on July 6.
- Scars of Honor is also hosting a test in July. The game strongly resembles a Free2Play WoW with its two factions, classes, and combat system, but with significantly weaker graphics. However, it offers housing.
The discussion of the week: Throne and Liberty has released a new trailer and has received a lot of criticism for it. Should trailers make their combat system appear more action-packed than it really is?
The week in the podcast: In their own podcast MMO News, the two MeinMMO editors Alexander Leitsch and Mark Sellner will discuss the most important news around MMORPGs this week again. Topics included Tarisland, which looks like a good WoW clone, the possible sale of SWTOR, a first assessment of ESO: Necrom, and the death of Swords of Legends Online.
