Today, on February 9th, a new event has started in The Division. You can secure double loot.
This weekend a new “Double Rewards” event is taking place. Massive announced just a few hours ago that this time you can hunt the high-value targets.
All information about the event from February 9th to February 12th
- Start: The event started on February 9th at 1 AM
- End: The event ends on February 12th at 1 AM
You have the entire weekend to secure the double rewards.
The HVTs, the high-value targets, drop double loot during these days. You can find the contacts for the HVTs at the Terminal, where they offer daily and weekly high-value targets. You need target intel to accept these missions.
Since the high-value targets are bosses, they are a source of Exotics and secret gear set pieces. However, the chances for that are quite low.
In the last “Double Rewards” events, it has always been the case that the events did not increase the chances of secret gear set pieces. Only the standard loot was doubled. This time, Massive is not providing any information on this, but it seems that there will likely be no higher chances for the coveted Classified gear at this event as well.
On Twitter, a user complained in the comments about this event that he drops far too little Classified gear. Other users also mentioned that events with double chances for Classified gear would be more sensible. In response, Massive said they are working on improving access to secret gear set pieces.
Note:
Yesterday, on February 8th, the State of the Game took place, which contained no exciting information. The Xbox One X patch still has no release date, and there was no information about what to expect in 2018 either. Instead, they talked a little about the Dark Zone and showcased community works. Next week, the State of the Game will also be canceled.
