The upcoming expansion Endwalker for the MMORPG Final Fantasy XIV is officially sold out. However, it can still be found on eBay, but at absurd prices. Some prices are approaching those of the notorious PlayStation 5.
What are the scalpers asking? The Collector’s Edition for the upcoming FFXIV addon Endwalker was originally supposed to cost around 150 Euros. However, the coveted box full of physical and digital goodies sold out quickly, and many interested fans had no chance to officially get such a box.
However, Collector’s Editions of Endwalker quickly appeared on sales platforms like eBay. But at prices that were beyond the original 150 Euros:
- The most absurd offer was at 800 US Dollars
- On US eBay, there were cheaper offers around 660 Euros
- In Europe, however, prices for the Collector’s Editions range between 304 and 557 Euros.
However, these are CE boxes that only include the physical items and do not contain the game itself. The game itself can be obtained with additional bonuses if ordered as a digital Collector’s Edition.

PlayStation 5 or Endwalker?
Which costs more? The situation surrounding the expensive Collector’s Editions of Endwalker resembles the price explosion of the PlayStation 5. The new Sony console is still officially hard to obtain, and the third-party market is shocking with high prices.
Rarely does one see a PS5 on eBay for under 500 Euros. Prices of 800 Euros or even higher are also not uncommon. So, anyone wanting an Endwalker Collector’s Edition might as well first buy a new PS5 and hope that better offers arise by the release of the addon.
What is actually included in Endwalker? For collectors and Final Fantasy fans, the Collector’s Edition of Endwalker offers quite a few cool goodies.
This is the Collector’s Edition: The contents of the CE of Endwalker are as follows:
- A statue of the Warrior of Light as a Paladin
- A pin shaped like the Azem stone
- A series of art print postcards
- A Loporrit plush
Those who also purchase the digital CE receive, in addition to the game,:
- In-game item Mount Arion
- In-game item companion Porom
- In-game item Death Scythe
The mount presented here is not the famous giant flying mount. This “moon whale” is truly gigantic and comfortably accommodates 8 players. Additionally, the whale can fly, majestically gliding through the air. However, it does come with a price. You will need to pay a proud 33 Euros for it. Still, compared to the outrageous prices for the Collector’s Edition of Endwalker, that is still a bargain.
