Practical Test Comparison
In the following section, I compare the AGM600 with the Kone XP and the Logitech G502 Hero. Both of these are all-rounder mice suitable for various genres. All three mice cost between 50 and 60 euros at the time of the test (January 11, 2023).
AOC AGM600 vs Roccat Kone XP
How do the mice compare? The Kone XP Air is significantly more playful than the model from AOC. The rear of the Kone XP is wider than the AGM600, which makes it even more comfortable.
However, the AOC mouse feels better and more premium, as my Kone XP now creaks noticeably under slight pressure. This is not the case with the other mouse. When it comes to the scroll wheel, it’s a draw, even though the Kone XP features a 4-way scroll wheel.
The clicks of the mice seem to be equally good with both, without either being favored.
The Kone XP offers a few more buttons (thumb rest and 2 additional buttons in the thumb area) compared to the AOC, but lacks a sniper button.
AOC AGM600 vs Logitech G502 Hero
How do the mice compare? The Logitech G502 Hero features a similarly understated design as the model from AOC. The number of buttons is identical for both models and similarly accessible. The G502 Hero has a stronger tilt, which feels a bit more comfortable as it better accommodates the natural hand position.
The side surfaces of the G502 Hero are more rubberized than those of the AGM600, but the sides do not get dirty as easily. I prefer the surface of the G502 to that of the AOC mouse since fingerprints are less visible and easier to wipe off.
The scroll wheel of the G502 Hero is unique and can be used in four directions compared to the AGM600. The cables of both mice are a draw, as they both behave quite stiffly.
Conclusion
Who is the mouse suitable for? Anyone looking for a well-built all-rounder mouse for their gaming system won’t go wrong with the AGM600. The price of the mouse is 51.99, which is a fair price for the features and software offered.
What alternatives are there?
- The Logitech G502 Hero is a very good all-rounder with few notable weaknesses. You can also swap the weight and get a simpler design. With the Lightspeed model, there is also a wireless version of the mouse.
- Roccat Kone XP: A good gaming mouse with all-rounder properties and a playful design. A fair offer for 50-60 euros.
- Razer Basilisk: The gaming mouse often referred to as a clone of the G502 offers good ergonomics. As an ultimate model, you also get wireless functionality for a high price. A new version, the Basilisk V3, has also been released.
- SteelSeries Rival 5: Also a good all-rounder with many features and a sleek design. However, the ergonomics are not optimally designed for small hands. You can read the test of the Rival 5 on MeinMMO.
