Weight and Ergonomics
The weight: At 115 grams, the AGM600 is quite heavy, which is surprising compared to competing products. Manufacturers like Logitech, Roccat, or Razer tend to reduce the weight of many mice. Both the Kone XP and the G502X currently weigh around or a little less than 100 grams.
Ergonomics: I find the ergonomics successful, and the mouse fits well in my hand. Its design is strongly oriented towards other all-rounder mice (Kone XP, Basilisk, G502 Hero), which is a positive aspect.
I have a large hand measuring 19 cm, and I can easily reach the sniper button on this mouse. It feels comfortable, and I don’t have to contort myself or hold the mouse awkwardly to reach it.
The slightly stiff cable restricts my movement a bit, but otherwise, I usually play with high DPI values and therefore move the mouse very little. The high weight is thus quite fitting.
Scroll Wheel and Buttons
How are the mouse buttons? Under the mouse buttons, there are Kailh switches. According to the manufacturer, these are rated for 80 million clicks. The switches feel very precise, but the click sound takes some getting used to at first as it is quite loud. It reminds me of the Kone XP, which also has similarly loud clicks, though not as metallic as the G502X Lightspeed.
How is the scroll wheel? The scroll wheel is notched and stiff, requiring some force for me to scroll.
However, what bothers me is that the scroll wheel occasionally squeaks audibly. This is annoying but does not affect the functionality; however, it does not necessarily speak for the durability of the component.
Sensor
AOC uses the Pixart 3389, a top sensor in its gaming mouse. This offers a resolution of up to 16,000 DPI and provides high precision for everyday use. For example, I have no “sensor jumps” when I set the DPI very low or very high. The accuracy can also be manually configured via the software.
On the last page, I will explain how the mouse performs compared to the competition and provide a final conclusion about who might find the mouse worthwhile.
