A special enemy in Mechagon, the upcoming WoW area, takes no damage. You need a trick to kill him.
In the upcoming Patch 8.2 Azshara’s Rise of World of Warcraft, there are two new areas to explore. In addition to Nazjatar, where the main story is advanced, there is also the somewhat crazier Mechagon with its numerous secrets and a lot of farming and grinding work. Some of these secrets have already been revealed, such as the riddle of the Vaultbot.
What is the Vaultbot? The Vaultbot is one of many rare enemies you can encounter in Mechagon. However, it cannot be defeated in the usual way, as the enemy takes no damage from attacks. To defeat it and rob it of its treasures, you need a little trick.
This is how you “kill” the Vaultbot: Once you have found the Vaultbot, you need to kite it for a while to the west of the island to Bondo’s Yard. The Vaultbot moves very slowly, so it may take a while to arrive. At Bondo’s Yard, you can spot a Tesla coil shooting bolts. If you bring the Vaultbot near the coil, it will be attacked by electric shocks and die instantly.
This is the reward: Its loot includes the “Blueprint: Vaultbot Key”. You can use this in the Mechagon camp and craft the key for a handful of farmable resources.
You can then use the key the next time you encounter the Vaultbot when it is not in battle. You can simply open the vault and receive the color vial: Mechagon Gold. With this, you unlock a new color variant (gold) for your mechanical cat – a mechanical mount that you can assemble in Mechagon.
The Vaultbot is just one of many rare enemies or secrets from Mechagon that require special strategies introduced with Patch 8.2. However, there is still no release date for the update.
