After the closed beta of the MMORPG Digimon Super Rumble, fans are eagerly waiting for the open beta. Now they believe: It should start in November. MeinMMO shows you the reason for that.
What is Digimon Super Rumble? Digimon Super Rumble will be a new MMORPG about Digimon. It will be developed in Unreal Engine 4 and is said to be based on the first season of the series. First images already showed iconic locations like the beach from episode 2 or the subway from episode 3.
There will be a character editor where you can design your Tamer. With this, you will traverse the Digiworld and you can complete quests, encounter other players, and fight against other Digimon.
And it is precisely with these battles that the game distinguishes itself from typical MMORPGs. Because Digimon Super Rumble has a turn-based combat system that relies on tactics. Three Digimon will face off against an enemy. There are various factors like cooldowns to consider.
A closed beta already took place in June in South Korea. Now the signs are intensifying that the announced open beta is just around the corner. Fans now believe: It will kick off in November.

Why fans believe the beta will start soon: Recently, a kind of pre-event for the open beta of Digimon Super Rumble started. However, this initially caused some confusion.
To participate in the event, you have to register on the official website. However, since everything there is written in Korean and the event directly refers to the open beta, some fans assumed it was the pre-registration.
The result was numerous reports and videos announcing the start of registrations for the open beta. It was simply an “OBT” event (Open Beta), where players can get some cosmetic items beforehand.
Nevertheless, players view this event as a clear sign for the imminent start of the open beta.
When will it start? Speculation is on November 25, which is when the OBT event ends for us. However, whether this will actually happen remains to be seen.
There is also another problem: To participate, you need a Korean phone number. So you would either need friends in South Korea or buy an account from dubious sources. This is usually prohibited.
There may also be other ways for foreign players to register. However, that remains to be seen.
What else do we know about Super Rumble?
- There will be different areas that are separated by loading screens. In the closed beta, there were 3 areas.
- You can apparently own an unlimited number of Digimon, only one of them will follow you in the open world.
- New Digimon must be hatched from eggs.
- There is a Tamer level for your character and separate levels for each Digimon.
- Each Digimon has different stats and abilities.
- There are various costumes for your Tamer.
Is the game coming to us as well? The MMORPG is also expected to come to Europe. When exactly that will be is currently not known.
