The streamer Josh Strife Hayes ensures that planes fly in Brazil with his videos. Because without the videos, things wouldn’t continue.
There are stories that sound too bizarre to be true just from the title – and at the same time so absurd that there is probably some truth to them. This was also the case for YouTuber and streamer Josh Strife Hayes, who received a strange message informing him about his important role in the Brazilian aircraft industry.
Curious information on another matter can be found here:
Who is Hayes? Josh Strife Hayes is a YouTuber and streamer, best known for his extensive analyses and opinions on MMORPGs, as well as other games. On various platforms, there are numerous videos from him, where he dives deep into the subject matter and breaks down games into their individual elements, explaining how they work together – or how they do not. In addition, he often shares interesting anecdotes and entertaining stories, just like in this case.
What was said to Hayes? A Brazilian viewer wrote to Josh Strife Hayes that he is “indirectly responsible for the existence of the aircraft industry in Brazil.”
Hayes reacted – as anyone would – quite bewildered. After all, he had never dealt with the aircraft industry in his life. He asked for an explanation, which he promptly received.
The explanation: The person who reached out works as a technical specialist and is responsible for transferring large amounts of data. This involves technical plans and representations for aircraft. However, transferring the data takes a lot of time, so the computer must also remain on for a very long time.
For some reason, the system stops working if at least one of the monitors isn’t playing a video.
The solution that was found: A screen is permanently running the video series “Worst MMO Ever?” for which Hayes became well-known and has been for a very long time.
This is how the community reacts: Under the video, the incident and circumstances are actively discussed. While some Brazilians praise Hayes for “his service to the Brazilian people,” others find it quite amusing.
Some also point out that one could simply change the energy settings of the computer, to which others remark that the specialist surely would have come up with that solution if it could fix the issue.
Others believe: Even if it could be changed, it should not be. Because this way it is the much funnier story.
We have talked about Josh Strife Hayes from time to time in the past. Not only has he created very detailed analyses of MMORPGs and individual mechanics from them, but he also enjoys explaining why he plays RPGs wrong and doesn’t listen to the community.
