Among the works of manga artist Naoko Takeuchi, Sailor Moon is the most famous. Right after the completion of Sailor Moon, she wanted to launch another manga. Unfortunately, she had to discontinue it after 4 chapters.
What kind of manga is this? 6 months after the last chapter of Sailor Moon, Takeuchi already released her new manga called PQ Angels. It is about two alien girls named P and Q from the planet Furien (translated: Cockroaches), who actually take the form of cockroaches and are the bodyguards of their queen.
The alien girls search for their cursed leader, Queen Anko, on Earth. To avoid drawing attention, they take the form of ordinary schoolgirls. In the manga, humorous situations arise repeatedly, where they struggle to hide, fight monsters, and learn human customs.
Additionally, they fall in love with the boys from the neighboring house and encounter problems with evil bullies. The mix sounds quite good, but Takeuchi was only able to publish 4 chapters of her manga.

Why didn’t she continue it? The 4 chapters of the manga were published from September to December 1997. The Kodansha publishing house, where the manga was published, had lost 7 pages of the manuscript of the manga.
After this incident, Takeuchi was reportedly so frustrated that she not only discontinued the manga but also switched to the Shueisha publishing house. A few years later, she released new works like Toki Meka! and Love Witch, which, however, never managed to reach the success of Sailor Moon.
Could there be a return of PQ Angels? Since so many years have passed and Takeuchi has released new works in the meantime, it is unlikely that she will return to work on PQ Angels.
However, there is still a glimmer of hope: In addition to the manuscript for the manga, there is said to have been a manuscript for an anime. The manuscript is somewhere at Toei Animation. The production studio also handles the animes of One Piece and Dragon Ball Daima.
