The MMORPG EverQuest II has been online for a long time and is far from over. Now, the 21st expansion for the online role-playing game is being released, bringing numerous new content.
What is EverQuest II? The MMORPG has been around since 2004. It was developed by Verant Interactive. It is the successor to the first installment Everquest, released in 1999, which greatly influenced later MMORPGs.
EverQuest II will celebrate its 20th anniversary in 2024 – just like World of Warcraft. Updates for the game continue to be released. Most recently, players are receiving new content in the form of a major expansion called “Scars of Destruction.”

The expansion celebrates the 20th anniversary of the game. The developers would like to thank the players, especially the long-time fans:
We have poured our hearts into crafting “Scars of Destruction” to make the 20th anniversary of EverQuest II an unforgettable experience. We can’t wait to see the players’ reactions.

What do you need to know for the release? The release is already on November 20. The expansion costs 35 euros in the standard version. However, there are also more expensive versions that cost up to 250 euros and include additional content in the form of mounts or recipes. In the battle against WoW, EverQuest has also provided some amusing anecdotes: EverQuest II tried to defeat WoW with pizza – accidentally vanquished Pizza Hut instead.
