A gamer is currently showing how fantastic a former PS5 exclusive can look on PC. Many hope that Sony will stick to its strategy and continue to bring formerly exclusive titles to PC.
With the generational change from PS4 to PS5, and from Xbox One (X) to Xbox Series X, gaming consoles received a massive performance boost. But something else happened: Sony is now presenting more and more former PS5 exclusives for PC.
And a gamer demonstrates that this is the right step. Because former exclusive games look much better on the gaming PC – if you can afford the corresponding hardware.
Spider-Man on a triple monitor setup excites the community
On Reddit, a gamer posted a nearly 1-minute video. It shows how he plays the former exclusive title “Spider-Man” on PC with a triple monitor setup. How much does such a setup cost? Here lies the catch, as such a setup is not exactly cheap. A triple monitor setup can get quite expensive. The LG C2 with 65 inches, which the gamer uses, costs 1,800 euros per model, and the gamer uses 3 of them. For the entire setup, including the gaming PC, you would probably have to lay down easily 8,000 or 9,000 euros.
Some also explain a bit wistfully: They could only afford such a setup if they won the lottery.
The PS5 will therefore likely still have a solid place in the living rooms of many gamers. Nevertheless, many believe that Sony must continue to bring its games to PC. Because such setups show how much good PC setups can extract from the games. Unless there are severe performance issues, like with The Last of Us.
Does such a multi-monitor setup also work on PS5? No, this is currently not possible. On one hand, the PS5 only has one HDMI output, and through this, only one TV or monitor can be connected.
Even if you were to connect a second TV with an HDMI splitter, you would see the same thing on both devices. Because the PS5 only mirrors the image. You do not enlarge your screen area like the gamer with his triple monitor system. The use of an UWQHD monitor on the PS5 is also more complicated than one would think.
Sony has been bringing exclusive PS5 games to PC for several months
Sony intensified its new strategy in 2022 to bring its “first-party games” to PC via Steam. These are the games that were originally created exclusively for its PS4 and PS5 consoles and which were considered “system sellers.” And with this strategy, they had huge success in 2022: Sony made a lot of money with former exclusive titles that it has now released for PC.
With games like

- and Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered
Sony had huge success on Steam. And these are just three titles that are mentioned here as examples. The list has already become significantly longer.
Sony also stated that they want to continue bringing “existing games” to PC. Therefore, there will likely be more games for PC in the future that have been exclusive for a long time.
