A game mixes the Fallout series with Anno 1800 – You should quickly try the free demo on Steam

With Endzone 2, you can currently test an exciting city-building game on Steam. Many elements strongly resemble Ubisoft’s Anno series.

With Endzone 2, developer Gentlymad Studios presents the sequel to Endzone – A World Apart. The predecessor received a “mostly positive” rating of 78% from over 7,000 reviews. So there is enough potential to make the sequel even better.

Thanks to the strategy festival “Tacticon” on Steam, you can now try a demo of Endzone 2. Some things strongly resemble the popular city-building series “Anno” by Ubisoft: The Anno series is getting a new installment in ancient times in 2025.

Endzone 2 relies on “islands” like the Anno series

What does this have to do with Anno? In the Anno series, since the first part Anno 1602, you have been settling various islands to build your empire. This island principle is now adopted by Endzone.

The map of Endzone 2 is divided into areas that you can gradually discover. If you want to utilize such an area, you must build a warehouse at the edge of the area. This strongly resembles Anno, where you need to build a trading post at the edge of the area. Each area offers you a limited number of resources. Sooner or later, like in Anno, you will need to expand if you want to use all the resources.

Later, you will need to establish trade routes between the zones to ensure your resources are well distributed. This also gives us strong Anno vibes.

With your ship truck, you can explore destroyed warehouses or buildings. In a sort of mini-game, you explore the building and unlock resources or items that you can use.
