Jason Momoa is known to most as Khal Drogo or Aquaman. However, he also had a science fiction series with a solid budget. But despite 3 seasons, hardly anyone has seen this series, and it is probably the fault of the streaming service.
Which series is it? In 2019, See – Realm of the Blind was released on Apple TV+. The prominent lead actor of the series is Jason Momoa, who is known as Khal Drogo from Game of Thrones or as Aquaman.
In the world of See – Realm of the Blind, the majority of humanity was wiped out years ago by a virus. After the virus, all people are born blind, accordingly they must survive differently. Despite the dystopian future, the setting is more reminiscent of times before electricity and technology, as people live in tribes.
Suddenly, however, two children are born who can see. But this brings many dangers.

Interesting Vision of the Future
The most important aspect of a dystopian sci-fi series is, of course, the premise. In See, you find yourself in a future where all people live in tribes, pretty much without technology and electronics, which seem to be completely destroyed or abandoned. Most people have died due to a virus. The people who still inhabit the earth are blind.
Baba Voss, played by Jason Momoa, is the chief of such a tribe. With his wife, he has two children, but the two can see. This is not just a cause for joy, as seeing is now considered a myth or witchcraft, accordingly, he must defend himself against other tribes and powerful foes.
The premise is interesting because you learn how people live without sight. The tribes resemble dystopian structures, like in Mad Max. One could also compare the tribes to the Wildlings from Game of Thrones and the dynamics beyond the wall. Of course, there are also the familiar intrigues here.
Visually, the trailer also promises interesting visuals. Seeing the old technology and buildings being overgrown reminds one of the new Planet of the Apes films or The Last of Us. With Jason Momoa and Dave Bautista (from season 2), there are also well-known actors who are seen in serious roles here.
Why is so little being said about the series? On Rotten Tomatoes, the series has a critic score of 63% based on 58 reviews. The audience is significantly more impressed by the series, which has a user score of 84%.
However, the series has a problem, and that is its streaming service. See – Realm of the Blind only runs on Apple TV+. The streaming service cannot be compared to Disney, Amazon, and Netflix and offers a significantly smaller selection.
