On the weekend, the Pokémon GO Nature Zone took place. The feature that impressed trainers the most was powerful Pokémon.
What happened in Pokémon GO: Last weekend, the Pokémon GO Nature Zone occurred. As part of this event, many Pokémon could be caught, raids against strong monsters could be fought, or one could face the challenging battle against Gigantamax Riffex.
However, there was another feature that made this weekend special: the “mighty” Pokémon.
A total of 16 different Pokémon could randomly appear in the wild as “mighty” Pokémon over the weekend, eight on Saturday and eight on Sunday. Especially in the last 15 minutes of both days, the number of mighty Pokémon increased again.
They were characterized by having particularly high stats, a high level, and an increased chance of being XL or XXL. Additionally, they could appear as shiny.
Among the 16 candidates were absolute fan favorites and strong attackers like Gyarados, Monargoras, Dragoran, Venusaur, Mamoswine, and others, which made them some of the most exciting targets that Pokémon GO trainers could catch over the weekend.
It was received so well that many trainers were reluctant to say goodbye to it.

How the feature was received: Now that the event has ended, many trainers are discussing the event on social media. Many highlight the mighty Pokémon as the part of the Nature Zone that they liked the most.
The current top post in the Subreddit for Pokémon GO, TheSilphRoad, revolves around the topic of trainers hoping that mighty Pokémon will appear regularly again.
There, the monsters are described as a “fun feature” that provided more entertainment (via reddit), and in other comments, some hope that they will now be part of Pokémon GO more often. One trainer suggests that they could work like the Galar birds – that is, they could suddenly appear in very rare cases (via reddit).
The positive aspect of mighty Pokémon: It is not surprising that the monsters were well-received. The feature attracts both casual players and regular players by promising strong values and distributing exciting Pokémon in the wild that can be of real use. Here, everyone feels included – whether one catches the monster just to have it in the Pokédex or because they are looking for a strong specimen.
The problem: However, there is criticism of one aspect of the feature. This concerns the very low catch rate in connection with the high fleeing rate. If one did not use any of the new safari balls for the mighty Pokémon, they could almost assume that the Pokémon would escape on the first catch attempt and flee immediately. This naturally leads to frustration. And even the safari ball did not guarantee a catch.
If mighty Pokémon return, players would need a way to catch them reliably again. Because if such an exciting monster simply escapes and runs away, there is little use in it appearing at all.
