Steam blocked the upload of the remake with the alleged justification that the game “seems identical to the game from eleven years ago” and that developer Joe Wintergreen should “explain why this should be its own game.” This is how the developer described it in a post on his X account.
Joe Wintergreen commented on Steam’s justification with “I expected a Steam review, not a Steam review.” He also posted images comparing the original and the remake to show that it is not “identical.”
