In Abiotic Factor, you take on the role of scientists who must take care of their own survival alongside their research. Every day they are threatened by various creatures, aliens, and nasty robots.

Due to a catastrophic incident, these beings are now roaming free and turning your workplace into a battleground for survival. All isolation measures have failed, leaving you alone in the depths.

- You choose a doctorate that grants you various skills and talents. This way, you can find the right role for you as a plant geneticist, defense analyst, or construction engineer.
- You explore a large underground complex full of artifacts and failed scientific experiments.
- Since your characters are not born fighters, you need to craft the right tools, weapons, and equipment to help you in combat.
- You gather resources from offices, labs, and old vending machines.
- You can design your base yourself and move it to another location within the research complex at any time.
