The building game “Satisfactory” is already “extremely positive” on Steam with 97% recommendations. With the full release, it aims to step it up even further and soon fulfill fans’ most awaited wish.
What kind of game is this? Satisfactory is a building game for up to 10 players, where you create a factory on an alien planet. However, the vast open game world also invites exploration and resource gathering.
On March 19, 2019, the game launched in Early Access on Steam and Epic. Since then, it has sold over 5.5 million copies and built a loyal fan base: it boasts 97% recommendations based on nearly 140,000 reviews.
What was still luckily missing until now was the full release… and apparently toilets. That is set to change soon.
Community running joke becomes reality
When is Satisfactory coming out? In a new trailer, Coffee Stain Studios announced on July 5, 2024, a release for September 10, 2024. In a press release, the creators promise “plenty of new features” – one of which the community has been requesting for at least 2 years.
What feature are we talking about? It’s about flushable toilets. Yes, you read that right. The once bland restrooms of your base will now provide unprecedented soundscapes with high-quality plumbing work.
The toilet flushing is a kind of running gag in the community, stemming from the devs’ streams. They joked that the real money lies in the “Toilet Flush DLC” for $1.
Satisfactory Toilet Flush is set to launch on September 10 alongside the full release. Until then, players will presumably have to hold it in.
In March, Twitch streamer Trymacs attempted a world record in Satisfactory, but it was sabotaged by a hacker. Fortunately, the streamers could rely on their loyal community: Hacker attempts to destroy Trymacs and Rumathra’s world record – But community helps streamers rebuild everything
