Fall Guys: Ultimate Knockout recently introduced the new final level Jump Showdown. However, a clever trick turned out to be an exploit, and the developers have temporarily removed the map to find a solution.
What was the problem with the map? The new level and mini-game Jump Showdown was introduced with the first major content patch. It is a revamped version of Jump Club, where your Fall Guys have to jump over rotating arms.
In Jump Showdown, the tiles also occasionally fall off (except for the last two), adding more action. However, with a seemingly clever trick, skilled players managed to jump off the platform and hold onto the edge at the last moment.
This was not so easy due to the wobbly controls of Fall Guys, but those who managed to do it could hang there indefinitely without being bothered by the rotating arms. Even back then, some players warned that this “trick” was an exploit, and developers probably did not want players to just cling to a platform and sit out the actual challenge.
You win even though you do nothing. And what happens if multiple players do this? Does the round go on forever if no one gives up voluntarily?
Developers temporarily remove Jump Showdown map
This is what the developers did: Recently, concerned players reached out via reddit, as the map Jump Showdown suddenly was not present in the final rounds anymore. Following this, there was a statement from Joe Walsh, the lead designer of Fall Guys:
Hey! We forgot to tweet it, but we have removed [Jump Showdown] to fix the problem of endless hanging.

When will the mini-game return? Unfortunately, Walsh did not say anything about this, but it likely won’t be long to find a fix for the problem. It’s essentially just about preventing Fall Guys from hanging onto the platform endlessly.

But even if Jump Showdown was very popular among fans and impressed during the beta, Fall Guys still offers great fun now. Especially popular streamers and content creators are increasingly enjoying the colorful battle royale with the waddling potato men.
