In Diablo 3 an event is running and distributing holiday gifts. Inside you’ll find wings, companions, mats, transmogs, and more. We show you where to find the gifts and what’s inside.
What kind of event is this? Surprisingly, the Christmas event started on December 16 and has been active for several weeks now. It’s worth playing during the event because many gifts await you.
There is a chance that certain enemies will drop the Christmas loot. We show you the loot that you can find in it.
Hellish Holiday Event in Diablo 3
When does it run? The event started on December 16 at 8:00 PM and is active until February 5, 2023 at 8:00 PM.
Where can I find gifts? You can receive holiday gifts from treasure goblins and portal guardians from Greater Nephalem Rifts.
The chance is higher with the Rift bosses than with the goblins.
What do the gifts look like? On the ground, you can recognize the gift after a drop. Additionally, there’s a green beam coming from it. Similar to a set piece. We tried this for you. In the screenshot, you see the loot:

What loot do the gifts bring? The loot pool is divided into two parts: items that are always included and items that can be in the gifts can.
In every gift, you receive:
- 5x Rune from Khanduras, Nightshade from Caldeum, Tapestry from Arreat, Corrupted Angel Flesh, and Holy Water from Westmark
