World of Warcraft: Midnight has entered Early Access. Early players are thrilled as they enter the capital for the first time and can’t get over their amazement.
How is the new capital received? The first players who ventured into the revamped capital of the Blood Elves are absolutely thrilled with it. They are posting on social media that they can’t get over their amazement.
On X, for example, there are comments from yimmchu and KFuechsin. They share images of Silvermoon and express how great it looks. Upon seeing the city, “their jaws dropped.”
The images also clearly show how many details are now in the city and how light and shadow effects are utilized. Silvermoon now feels much more alive, especially as it has been built taller.
On Reddit, there’s a long thread where a user mentions hoping that every capital would receive such a revamp. Orgrimmar and Stormwind are frequently mentioned when it comes to a revamp. Silvermoon is finally starting to feel like a proper city.
Silvermoon receives a revamp and must share
What happened to it? Silvermoon was formerly the capital of the Blood Elves. With Midnight, it becomes the central hub for both factions, the Horde and now also the Alliance. A major Void attack on the Sunwell is imminent, which can’t be repelled by the Blood Elves alone.
Two-thirds of the city area will go to the shared space. The remaining third still remains in the hands of the Horde. They must get used to sharing a large part of the city with the rival faction.
The city was originally introduced in 2007 and is now receiving a revamp. It has been remodeled and is now much more detailed. Additionally, it now uses a vertical design, as players can fly here from now on.
