A salami as a weapon? If you’ve already spent a few nights by the campfire in Baldur’s Gate 3, you’ve probably consumed it at least once: the salami. Because as food, it provides 6 “camp supplies.”
However, the salami is also a simple melee weapon of the “bludgeon” category. Since it is a light weapon, it can conveniently be wielded by any character “dual-wielding” (one weapon in each hand).

In his YouTube video, “cRPG Bro” presents the optimal sausage build to get the most out of the salamis. Since the sausages themselves only deal 1-4 bludgeoning damage, they need to be enhanced with various hit effects and elemental damage.
For this, “cRPG Bro” uses a multiclass combination of paladin, warlock, and fighter.
- The levels in warlock and paladin allow for the “Divine Strike” to be cast as frequently as possible.
- Equipment items like “Caustic Band” or “Helldusk Gloves” add the elemental damage.

Even though two sausages would surely look good in a tavern brawl, the “weapons” unfortunately do not count towards the “Tavern Brawler” talent, which enhances improvised attacks.
Nevertheless, “cRPG Bro” shows that his build can even hold its own on the highest difficulty level of the game. He also admits: “Of course, any other weapon would be better than the salamis“.
