In Fortnite: Battle Royale there is a bug that is currently causing chaos and confusion in the Team Rumble mode. We will show you what this bug is.
What kind of bug is this? Normally, team members are clearly marked. A white arrow appears above a teammate’s head.
However, a bug has appeared in the Fortnite Team Rumble mode where these arrows are no longer displayed correctly. This makes it difficult to distinguish whether a person is an ally or an opponent.
The player lurker17066 posted a clip on reddit that shows how confusing this situation is:
Here you can clearly see how allies shoot each other because the arrow is not displayed.
Why can this bug be troublesome?
This bug can actually be quite funny when you experience it. You shoot at a person and realize that it is an ally.
The Propane Tank Bug, which was found recently also looks quite funny.
You look at each other after the embarrassing “fight”, just walk away, and pretend nothing happened.
But there is also a negative side to this bug:
- You waste unnecessary resources (ammunition, materials)
- While you are “fighting”, a real opponent comes and eliminates both
- You are constantly under stress because you cannot distinguish anymore
What does Epic say about this bug?
Epic Games has already commented on this bug. Under the reddit clip by lurker17066, they commented that they will take a look at it.
In the Fortnite-Trello, the bug has also already been noted. It states that Epic intends to fix the issue with the next update.
What kind of mode is this? Team Rumble is one of the various game modes in Fortnite. With the Update 12.00, which has ushered in the new Season 2, Team Rumble was slightly changed:
- In this mode, 2 teams of 20 members each compete against each other
- Each starts with 450 materials (150 per material type)
- The storm zone closes more slowly, as an end zone is already predefined
- You can respawn repeatedly if you are eliminated
- The team that first achieves a total of 125 eliminations wins
