The community in Fallout 76 is actually famous for its great interactions. However, there are apparently also black sheep, as one player reported. He was harassed by a little boy, who couldn’t handle the subsequent reaction.
How did the argument start? The player and reddit user TheMailmanCometh was working on one of the badges for the new Scouting Quest in Fallout 76. His goal was the metalworker badge.
For the badge, he needs to craft some items from metals. As a reward, he gets mods for the backpack. To do this, he seized the workshop “Gorge Scrapyard”. It’s the only place where there is the rare black titanium.
While he was mining ores, a message appeared that another player was trying to take over his workshop. He promptly reacted to the threat in the form of a level 10 player.
This is what the boy did: TheMailmanCometh expected a higher-level ally disguised nearby due to the low level but found only the newcomer. The newcomer immediately attacked him.
TheMailmanCometh himself is level 142. With his weapons and armor, he could quickly take out the new player. He even left him his junk, which he lost upon death, and laid out weapons and armor that he had kindly crafted for him.
The level 10 player put on the new equipment as well – and opened fire on TheMailmanCometh again. He sought the fight multiple times, and each time he was defeated. Until a strange voice came through the microphone.
How mom reacted: TheMailmanCometh describes that a woman scolded him: “A grown man is picking on a little boy!” In the background, a crying child can be heard.
After he explained the situation, the mother only reacted with a, “Oh. I should have never bought you this game.”
This is what the community says about it: TheMailmanCometh writes as a moral to his report:
Most higher-level people will help you when they can. But if you behave like pests, expect to be treated like pests.

Some players shared similar stories, while others criticized the irresponsibility of parents allowing children to play inappropriate games. However, most know the community of Fallout 76 differently:
