Some players of ARK: Survival Evolved are making serious allegations against the game’s publisher, accusing them of banning 93 players to protect another clan.
What is the accusation? American video game journalist Jake Lucky released a video on June 15, 2023, discussing a potential corruption scandal in the game ARK: Survival Evolved.
Jake Lucky was contacted by a player named “EXFIB0” because he, along with 92 other players, was allegedly wrongfully banned by Snail Games. Snail Games is the publisher of ARK: Survival Evolved and operates, just like the developers “Studio Wildcard”, the official servers of the game.
EXFIB0 suspects a connection between Snail Games and the clan (called “Tribe” in ARK) they were fighting against. They were banned because the publisher is protecting the Tribe (via YouTube).

How did the ban occur? EXFIB0 explains to Jake Lucky that he, along with his clan (the Island Boys), attacked the rival Tribe “TEA” – which is notorious in ARK for questionable behavior.
Attacking another clan is not prohibited in ARK and is called a “Raid”. This involves destroying the structures and bases of the opponent and killing their dinosaurs. PvP is part of the game’s gameplay and is allowed on designated servers.
During the raid, “the Island Boys” were ahead and were winning, says EXFIB0. At some point, suddenly all 93 players of the Tribe who were involved in the raid were kicked from the server and globally banned.
EXFIB0 assures Jake Lucky that his Tribe acted fairly and legally. Moreover, the players are only banned on servers provided by Snail Games. Thus, the clan can continue to play without any issues on servers operated by the developer Studio Wildcard, which is why Jake Lucky questions the justification of the ban.
Why is the “TEA” Tribe notorious in ARK? For years, there have been various allegations from the community of the survival game against “TEA” and Snail Games. Players suspect a connection between the ARK publisher and the Tribe. It is said that Snail Games protects TEA.
In 2018, TEA escaped a ban wave that caught many cheaters. TEA remained unscathed, although players posted videos that were supposed to prove that TEA used cheats like an aimbot.
